About the Project

Passione Italiana: The Art of Italian Espresso will appeal to design lovers and coffee enthusiasts.  This journey in time begins in Italy in the early 20th-century traces changes in industrial design and technology across the decades. 

The exhibition will explore machines used in cafe settings, as well as those used in the home, and will document the influence of designers such as  Gio Ponti, Aldo Rossi, and Massimiliano Fuksas on the design of espresso makers.
