Bring dance into the lives of children

About the Project

What a magical experience it was! Several of [our students] told us it was the best day of their lives. We are in a high poverty school. Most of our girls had never been to the Fox Theatre or seen a ballet. I know it is an experience they will never, ever forget. Nor will I. Sometimes I wonder why I teach. Then I have a day like yesterday.
- Betsy Sierra, Stockbridge Middle School

Today you can give Atlanta area students like Betsy’s the opportunity to have an unforgettable experience at a Kids In Step Student Matinee performance by Atlanta Ballet.

It’s so easy to give the gift of a magical performance. $10 covers the cost of one Kids In Step Student Matinee ticket for a performance of Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker or Atlanta Ballet 2's Beauty & The Beast

And now is the perfect time to give! The City of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) will match your donation dollar for dollar. We are so grateful to OCA for making your gift go twice as far.

Kids in Step Student Matinees are designed for children and provide teachers with study guides to integrate the arts experience into their curriculum. During each performance, students get to peek behind the scenes as production staff step out on stage to share the secrets behind the magic and the opportunities to become involved in the arts as a stage manager or crew member.

At Atlanta Ballet, we recognize that access to dance is a privilege, and we are committed to providing opportunities for everyone in the community, regardless of age or experience, to discover the joys of dance. Help us make this dream a reality. Give today!
