Support our Creative Community!

About the Project

C4 Atlanta Inc. is a non-profit arts service organization whose mission is to connect arts entrepreneurs to the people, skills, and tools they need to build a successful artistic career in metro Atlanta. The organization was founded in July 2010 in response to a growing need for business services for Atlanta’s arts community. C4 Atlanta fulfills this mission by offering professional practice classes for artists, fiscal sponsorship, co-working space, and more. Each year, we serve over 1200 creative professionals in person through our services.  As an organization focused on arts entrepreneurship, C4 Atlanta, above all else, respects the working artist.

Now more than ever, Atlanta's arts community needs help recovering from the economic impact of COVID-19.  95% of Atlanta artists have lost income or work due to social distancing. In addition to lost wages, many are having to pivot quickly in order to survive a move to a 100% digital environment.

C4 Atlanta has stepped up to answer the call of our community. We have continued to provide our regular training and services completely online to artists when this training in new skill sets is most needed.  We have also added new offerings to meet the need for COVID-19 related information. Our staff has worked to compile resources for artists on relief funds and efforts, communication tools, and information about new legislation, like the CARES Act, to an arts community in need of help navigating information that changes daily.

Always an advocate for Atlanta's arts workers, C4 Atlanta has worked to both share information on pending or new legislation with our community in addition to sharing their stories of impact back with policymakers and elected officials. Together with Dekalb Entertainment Commission, C4 Atlanta created and distributed the largest COVID-19 impact survey in the Metro area.

In March 2020, as the COVID-19 first began to impact Georgia, C4 Atlanta moved quickly to create the Atlanta Artists Lost Gig Fund. To date, this COVID-19 crisis fund provides grants to those who have unmet needs due to lost work from pandemic related cancellations and closures. To date, over $35,000 in funds have been distributed to impacted Atlanta artists.

Your donation ensures that the vital services we provide for Atlanta's arts professionals are here not only during a crisis but every day after, too. C4 Atlanta provides important workforce resources, advocacy for individual arts workers, and connection to a network of other arts professionals. And when Atlanta artists thrive, all of our communities benefit from their incredible work. As a city known for its contributions to culture, having a resource to support Atlanta's artistic labor force is a necessity.

Every dollar is matched by the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs through Power2Give up to $2000. Doubling your dollars doubles the impact of your donation.

This #GivingTuesday, help us continue to support a vibrant, loveable, liveable Atlanta by supporting the artists who make it a great place to live!
