About This Project

Our students come from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds and economic circumstances. Many would miss the educational opportunity musical enrichment provides were it not for our scholarship program. Nearly 25% of the children in our chorus need financial assistance and our need-based scholarship program is the only one of its kind in the region.

For 25 years TBCC’s classically based chorus program has helped children learn the highest quality choral literature and musical knowledge along with vital life lessons such as teamwork, discipline, confidence, commitment, friendship and self-expression.

We need your help to continue providing outstanding music enrichment and learning opportunities for children in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area. Here’s what your donation can do:

  • $25- annual sheet music costs for one singer
  • $90- uniform costs for one singer
  • $335- yearly tuition for one Cantate singer
  • $600- yearly tuition for one Concert/Chamber singer
  • $1,000- one month’s rehearsal rental space
  • $5,000- the cost of commissioning one new piece

Every week, students rehearse with professional accompanists and artistic staff and each season they’re given at least 10 performance opportunities. Recent performances include Singing the National Anthem at the Tampa Bay Lightning and Rays games and performing Carmina Burana with The Florida Orchestra and the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay.

ABOUT THE TAMPA BAY CHILDREN'S CHORUS
The Tampa Bay Children’s Chorus is dedicated to providing outstanding musical enrichment and learning opportunities for children in the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg areas. Founded in 1989, TBCC offers outstanding musical enrichment and learning opportunities in a classically based chorus program, where children learn the highest quality choral literature. Children are taught to work with others and, through our community outreach programs, to care for others in their community. We also provide opportunities for children from all walks of life to experience a wider vision of the world that surrounds them.
