About This Project

"Throw Down" with us at Weber Gallery as we celebrate Breaking the Mold: the 10 YEAR anniversary of Louisville Clay, which represents the absolute finest in ceramic arts from 100+ regional artists.  Louisville Clay, Louisville ceramic artists with developmental disabilities and Weber Gallery are collaborating to present the pottery show of the decade in October 2012.  Join us as we support the workshops and partnerships of the Louisville Clay professional artists and artists with disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome.  This will be a rare opportunity to see every style, size, and function of this beautiful medium from artists who are as wildly diverse as the art itself! You won't want to miss the opening reception at Weber Gallery, free to the public, where you will meet the artists, enjoy the music, yummy snacks and beverages among the liveliest and most interesting crowd in town.  During the 2-month exhibition, tours will be offered to schools and other organizations.  All artists receive 60% commission on sales, and Weber Gallery's 40% of proceeds go directly toward support of people with developmental disabilities.  Weber Gallery is a program of the Council on Developmental Disabilities- a 60-year Louisville organization.  Breaking the Mold:  The 10-year Anniversary of Louisville Clay. October 19--December 31, 2012.  Opening reception, October 19, 5:30--9:00pm.
