About This Project

Imagine a downtown Cincinnati filled with even more public art, from gorgeous murals and sculptures to artistic bus shelters and bike racks. Sounds great right? With your help, we can make it happen!

Support this project and you help the Downtown Residents Council contribute to the ArtWorks Downtown Fund, which will ensure we can continue to make downtown Cincinnati a spectacular place to live, work, and play. This summer alone, your contribution supports:

  • A dozen Metro bus shelter makeovers, filling vacant advertising space with graphic art and creating brightly colored beacons of art all around downtown. Here is a map of where they’ll be!
  • The John A. Ruthven mural at 8th & Vine, ArtWorks largest mural to date celebrating the work of a beloved Cincinnati master.
  • A new mural wrapping around the corner of the Duke Energy Convention Center at 6th & Elm streets, which will be an artistic welcome to Cincinnati visitors from far and wide!

Public art downtown doesn’t just beautify our City. It also produces an increased sense of safety, and has been linked to reduced crime, vandalism and littering. Plus, public art has been shown to have a positive effect on community real estate values and retail sales in adjacent corridors.*

Your gift, whatever the size, will make downtown Cincinnati even better.
