Donor User Agreement Terms and Conditions
When giving a gift through power2give, you are making a gift to The Arts Council of Indianapolis (ACI), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit agency. It is ACI’s intention to honor the expressed purpose of your gift by directing those dollars to the organization and project of your choice.
For questions about your gift, please contact us at (317) 631-3301 or Indianapolis@power2give.org.
You can at any time request a written financial statement disclosing the purpose for which funds are raised, the total amount of all contributions raised, the total costs and expenses incurred in raising contributions, the total amount of contributions dedicated to the stated purpose or disbursed for the stated purpose, and whether the services of another person or organization have been contracted to conduct solicitation activities.
DONATION TO CHARITIES
All donations made through power2give are final and non-refundable. power2give allows a number of charities that are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”), as tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code to post charitable projects to be funded through donations to ACI through power2give. Your donations for these projects are made to ACI. As required by the IRS, has ACI exclusive legal control over the donation. We understand that you would like your contribution to benefit your designated nonprofit(s) and ACI makes every reasonable effort to respect the wishes of its donors. However, to comply with federal tax laws, ACI must retain the authority, discretion and control to spend its funds as it sees fit.
Twelve percent (12%) of each donation will be retained by ACI to cover credit card transaction costs, the maintenance of the site and other expenses incurred to operate the site successfully. The balance will typically be disbursed ten business days after the project “expires” from the site or it is fully funded (whichever comes first). A project has 90 days to be funded through power2give, and after those 90 days, the project “expires” and is no longer able to accept donations. If a project is not completely funded, ACI will generally still provide the funds donated to the project sponsoring organization to be used in the discretion of that organization. In such event, the project organization may follow up with donors who gave to that project to explain how that donation will be used.
When you make a donation, you grant us permission to access your donation records at any time. We will make available to the project-sponsoring organization online reports identifying, when available, the name, address, email, and transaction accounting details of the donation.
The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. ACI will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information via the Site from visitors in this age group.

We need to raise $3,920 to bring “GOD” to Indianapolis!
If you love The Daily Show and The Onion, then you'll love David Javerbaum, the irreverent, satirical, Emmy-award winning writer of The Last Testament, A Memoir by GOD. Meet the author of God's memoir at the JCC on May 6. That's right, God has written a memoir and you get to meet the medium through which God's words have been sent! Learn the answers to such pressing questions as: What really happened in the Garden of Eden? And, how in the world did Noah fit two of each and every animal on that one ark?
The JCC seeks assistance in raising funds to bring David Javerbaum to Indy on May 6 for a presentation that will leave your funny bone aching, followed by a meet and greet we can’t help but call “Jabber with Javerbaum.”
Audiences across the States have loved Javerbaum’s live appearances, and now we look forward to bringing his unique brand of humor to Indy as part of the JCC’s Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts, Second Edition. God simply needs a little help to get to Indy.
For 15 years, the Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts has brought top notch authors, filmmakers, fine artists and performers to an award-winning festival that enriches and enlivens the entire Indianapolis community. Hurricane Sandy threw us a curveball last November when several authors, including David Javerbaum, were grounded. Thus was born the Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts, Second Edition, taking place May 6-9. Javerbaum is headlining this mini-festival, which also features Alicia Oltuski, author of Precious Objects: A Story of Diamonds, Family and A Way of Life and the screening of the award-winning film, Besa: The Promise, in partnership with Heartland Truly Moving Pictures. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film’s executive producer, Bill Morgan.
We need to raise $3,920 and we welcome donations of any amount $1 and up. These funds are for:
